At Agritechnica 2009, JCB will present its latest and so far smallest mini telehandler, the 515-40 Miniscopic. With compact dimensions of 1.80 m in height, 2.97 m in length, and a total weight of less than 3.5 tonnes, this innovative mini telehandler promises highly interesting application possibilities. Many of the complex tasks that previously required the use of several machines can now be accomplished with just one unit. This compact model will be of particular benefit to European agricultural contractors as well as pig, poultry, beef, and dairy farms.

The mini telehandler was developed to improve productivity in agricultural operations, such as silage handling, stacking bales, or loading pallets, and to simplify these tasks. For simple and efficient maneuverability, even in confined spaces and on uneven ground, the new telehandler offers all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, and a hydrostatic transmission. Equipped with a 50 hp Deutz engine, this JCB machine has a lifting capacity of 1,500 kg at a lift height of 4 meters. For even more versatility, the compact telehandler can be fitted with a quick coupler.

Combining critical functions in a single machine provides a valuable addition to any operation. Compact and agile, the machine can be used inside buildings—something often not possible with traditional equipment. Due to its low weight, the mini telehandler offers excellent off-road capability, even on soft ground.

Its compact dimensions and high lift height give the machine even more flexibility when loading materials, especially with the possibility of direct loading in low-roofed buildings. Despite its compactness, the telehandler impresses with its high level of comfort, featuring a spacious, air-conditioned cab and an air-suspended DeLuxe driver's seat. The low-noise cab, built to ROPS and FOPS standards, guarantees safety and protects health. Entry is made easier by a low step.

An automatic warning system in the operator's field of vision continuously monitors and communicates the stability and balance of the machine.
