Furthermore, it has only had one driver, and the two beds have never been slept in—nothing more than a jacket has ever been placed there. The vehicle was custom-built for the transport of classic cars—from pre-war Horch, Maybach, Mercedes SSK models up to the 300-series Gullwing. It has only been used for attending events such as the Goodwood Revival in Great Britain, etc. We believe there is no other Atego in such immaculate condition; this vehicle could go straight into the Mercedes museum in Stuttgart. All maintenance has been carried out consistently and without interruption by the same Mercedes-Benz dealership, operating for over 60 years. The body can be locked securely all the way around, and the sliding tarpaulins can be opened from both the front and rear on both sides. The ramp is hydraulically operated at the push of a button; a winch and ample securing points are available. The 817 drives like a new vehicle. All documentation is present, from the original blueprint to the invoice from the body manufacturer.
