DAF T1300 “Frog” Recovery Vehicle
In January 1963, this DAF T1300 “Kikker” was newly registered on the road in the Netherlands.
It is highly likely that this DAF was originally purchased new by Shell and had the original “Shell Yellow” paint.
Later on, this DAF was converted into a recovery vehicle and subsequently operated by a small workshop in Brabant.
After the death of the former garage owner, his son had the vehicle completely restored.
The vehicle has been completely resprayed in red; in addition, the brakes and vacuum pump, etc. were replaced.
This likely took place around the year 2000.
The body operation is manual. The winch is powered via an intermediate shaft.
The boom is also extendable and there is also a manual shovel.
The DAF is equipped with a 6-cylinder petrol engine (Type: BA475), 2 storage boxes, and 2 hydraulic couplings at the rear of the cab.
The mileage of 19,643 km is very likely original!
