From experience, the bare chassis without the fire service body weighs under 4 tons.

This makes it highly interesting for conversion into a rugged expedition vehicle, which can realistically be made travel-ready and fully equipped at well below the maximum 7.49 t gross vehicle weight – possibly even with some payload reserve.

This example is already equipped with the newer 6-cylinder engine with 6,823 cc and 150 hp.
