DAF T1300 “Frog” recovery vehicle
In January 1963, this DAF T1300 “Kikker” was newly registered on the road in the Netherlands.
This DAF was most likely originally purchased by Shell and had the original “Shell Yellow” color.
Later, this DAF was converted into a recovery vehicle and then used by a small workshop in Brabant.
After the death of the former garage owner, his son had the vehicle completely restored.
The vehicle was completely repainted in red; the brakes, vacuum pump, etc., were also replaced.
This likely took place around the year 2000.
The body operation is manual, the winch is driven via an intermediate shaft.
The boom is extendable and a manual scoop is also present.
The DAF features a 6-cylinder petrol engine (Type: BA475), 2 storage boxes, and 2 hydraulic couplings at the rear of the cab.
It is highly probable that the mileage of 19,643 km is original!
