We are parting with our "Corona Bus" with a heavy heart. Since its registration as a motorhome in October 2021, it has only been used for a handful of testing and vaccination deployments. Privately, we used it only occasionally. The bus comes from Switzerland, where it was owned by the state and operated as an intercity bus. The roll bars and other similar features are presumably made of stainless steel. We recently had the windows professionally tinted. Besides the original auxiliary heater, two additional 6 kW auxiliary heaters have been installed. At the rear door, there is a fold-out wheelchair ramp, which also makes vacation loading much easier. As a motorhome with 8+1 seats and automatic 3-point seat belts, it can be driven with a C1 (truck) license. The pneumatic height adjustment is ideal for boarding ferries, for example. There is not enough space here to list all the features and details that make this travel bus stand out. As an intercity bus, it has standard transmission ratios and is capable of 100 km/h, not restricted like urban buses. It has been stored indoors since 2021, as it was previously by its Swiss owners. The general technical inspection (TÜV) is due. At around 650,000 km, the gearbox was proactively replaced in Switzerland, so there should be no issues for years to come. The retarder functions as intended. The large panoramic windscreen offers fantastic visibility and is a real pleasure—complete with an electric sunblind. A reversing camera has also been installed. The vehicle was first built in 2003, and started its new life as a motorhome after re-registration in October 2021. The air-sprung driver's seat ensures comfortable, relaxed driving even over long distances. In addition to the supplied snow chains, it’s equipped with so-called automatic traction chains mounted underneath. It is known that one air valve of the height adjustment may be sticking after the bus stood for two years and there may be an electrical issue with the left headlight. Otherwise, new batteries were installed in 2025, the vehicle starts flawlessly, and it's truly a joy to drive. Yes, it is still registered. We will sell it at short notice to the first interested party who does not try to negotiate (smile), as we have sold the hall space at the end of February 2026.
