It works and runs excellently. More reliable than any modern car.

The inspections were passed immediately after some minor replacements (new hoses, new gas regulator).

Numerous new parts were fitted recently, including new brakes, a new alternator, etc.

Extensive maintenance performed in early 2024 just a few kilometers ago, with all oils replaced (engine, transmission, and rear axle).

Largely rust-free, clean, and absolutely leakproof.

Various paint defects and minor cosmetic flaws. Not “grade 1” condition, but realistically a “grade 3” with excellent technical condition.

The 310 D is fitted with a super spacious EURAMOBIL body.

The vehicle’s unladen weight is 2,750 kg.

Permissible total weight is 3,500 kg. This has been the case since 1991 and has never been changed. Therefore, the 310 D can be driven immediately with the current Class B (car) driving licence.

The large body size requires practical driving experience! For a 3.5-ton vehicle, it has substantial dimensions. You get used to it quickly, but for fairness, this should be made clear here.

The Mercedes is registered for 8 seats. In addition to the two front seats, the entire seating area is equipped with lap belts and may be used for passengers while driving.

It features a fixed ball-type tow hitch with 2,800 kg towing capacity.

With this vehicle, up to 8 people can travel—while enjoying access to German low emission zones as a historic vehicle with H registration. Additionally, it is allowed to tow a large 2.8-ton trailer.

A fold-down bicycle carrier with a 40 kg tongue load is listed in the documents, but is not available.

Overall length with the carrier folded down would be 7.30 m.

The external dimensions (as pictured): 6.70 m long / 2.30 m wide / 3.10 m high.

Heating system operates on diesel and gas.

The previous owner had a robust 150-litre diesel tank installed for long journeys abroad.

The engine is the legendary OM 602 five-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel with 2,874 cc and 98 hp. Naturally, it always starts instantly, runs smoothly, and still delivers its rated output.

The 4-speed automatic transmission (classic MB torque converter) shifts perfectly and reliably.

Top speed is 120 km/h.

With the 310 D, you can keep up with modern traffic if necessary. However, once you encounter an incline, you’ll notice it comes from an older vehicle generation—so patience is needed.

All four tyres are in good condition and suitable for long usage. They are winter tyres from DOT 2020 (tyre size 215R14C, with snowflake symbol as per latest regulations).

The living area can be accessed from the right side or the driver’s cab. Next to the seating area there is a kitchenette with stove, sink, and refrigerator.

The main bed is transverse in the rear. The alcove also provides sleeping space, and the seating area can be converted as well.

In front of the rear bed, the bathroom with roof vent is on the left side.

A solar panel is installed on the roof. There is an auxiliary battery under the passenger seat.

The fresh water tank is located in the front seat box within the living area and can easily be filled from outside.
